Starbucks is now letting you get your pumpkin spice on -- with a crunch.
It's not fall yet, but the Seattle-based company has introduced Pumpkin Spice Cookie Straws.
They're one of two new products inspired by the flavor that Starbucks made popular with its much-loved Pumpkin Spice Latte. Joining the edible straws on grocers' shelves now are Pumpkin Spice Flavored Ground Coffee K-Cup Pods.
No word yet on when the PSL -- that's what true fans call the drink -- is coming back to Starbucks restaurants, though.
Meanwhile, Starbucks' other pumpkin spice-flavored packaged drinks are returning, too: Ready-to-Drink Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Spice Flavored Ground Coffee, Pumpkin Spice Caffe Latte K-Cup Pods, Iced Espresso Classics Pumpkin Spice Latte and VIA Instant Pumpkin Spice Latte.
The Pumpkin Spice Cookie Straws are toasted rolled wafers with white chocolate and pumpkin spices.
It's not surprising the coffee chain is unveiling the new additions to its pumpkin spice collection before the namesake drink is back for the season, Deb Gabor, CEO of Austin-based Sol Marketing, explained. The strategy sends a message to corporate competitors as well as fans.
